The Family
Marty Ray Gordon, father of Justin and Jody Gordon, started Gordonview farm in 1991. Marty's experience with farm life is a result of spending most of his childhood following and learning from his legendary walking horse trainer grandfather, Ray Tenpenny. As it was read during Ray's induction to the Tennessee Walking Horse Hall of Fame, desire, determination and dedication are the three attributes that inspired Marty to build a simple life on the farm raising horses, cattle, and hay while working a full time job at Arnold Air Force Base. The horsemanship and colt breaking that Ray passed down to Marty is a skill he still uses today. 2000 marked the year the Gordon boys set out on a mission to enhance the farm to accommodate family and friends visiting and attending the Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration as a place to relax and feel at home. May 8 of 2008, Marty married Lorri Isenhath. The family of four now embraces the future and look forward to sharing Tennessee farm life at Gordonview with you.
Lorri Isenhath Gordon moved to Tennessee in January of 2008. Lorri is an AKC Licensed judge, as well as a breeder of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Labrador Retrievers. She owned and operated a large Dog Boarding facititly in Johns Island SC. She has competed in conformation, obedience, agility and enjoyed pet therapy visiting hospitals and nursing homes. She has spent her lifetime surrounded by, and caring for animals. She showed quarter horses as a teen and young adult. She now enjoys trail riding and camping with her Gaited mules, Rocky Mountain, Spotted and Tennessee Walking horses.
